Flexknit™ won the 2022 International CMF Design Award

Utilizing recycled materials, combined with colored yarn and 3D weaving technology, to create eco-friendly fabric

1.Interpretation of Design

 

Product introduction

Combining 3D weaving technology with traditional embossed beauty

to form a trinity technology fabric — Flexknit™

Through carefully considered color matching and material combinations,
the product becomes more personalized, aesthetically pleasing,

and valuable, enhancing its market competitiveness

In 2018, YICHANG obtained GRS certification, investing in environmental issues,
and developed ocean-recycled, fishing-net recycled, bio-based meshes

By 2022, YICHANG joined the Ocean Cycle program,
transforming recycled plastics from oceans and beaches into high-quality materials

These are then used to manufacture mesh fabrics, reducing the need for new materials
 

 

 

 

 

Material Introduction

Flexknit™ incorporates Flexmono™ (TPEE - Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) as a key material for mesh fabric

TPEE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) brings durability and softness to Flexknit™,

with elasticity and strength between plastic and rubber

More flexible than plastic, more plasticity and longevity than rubber, it can be molded into various shapes

In appearance, Flexknit™ achieves a unique style through carefully developed color matching

and material combinations, while retaining breathability and support

This makes Flexknit™ more personalized, aesthetically pleasing,and valuable, adding more uniqueness to the brand!

 

 

 

2.Design Process

CMF Challenges

Combining different materials is a major challenge, requiring adjustment of yarns with different strengths and characteristics to the most suitable tension

Certain material combinations and colors may not achieve the expected results

Therefore, multiple tests and experiments are needed to find the best combination

Winning the 2022 International CMF Design Award in the sample category

is the greatest recognition of our team's hard work and creative design

This award is very significant to YICHANG, not only representing our efforts in creative design
